Donor-funded scholarships are made possible by generous contributions from local corporations, businesses, civic groups, alumni, private citizens, and others who want to support you as you pursue your academic and career goals.
If you meet the eligibility criteria for one or more of IUPUC's donor-funded scholarships, please apply as early as possible.

Donor-funded scholarship applications are available October 1 in One.IU. Completed applications are due February 15. To apply, please:

Each donor-funded scholarship at IUPUC has its own unique criteria for eligibility. Please review the eligibility criteria listed.
The African American Fund of Bartholomew County (AAFBC), in conjunction with IUPUC, has created a scholarship fund that will provide a student with $1000 per year for four years to attend IUPUC. The criteria for the scholarship includes:

The student must be an incoming freshman at IUPUC.
The student must reside in Bartholomew County.
Established by multiple donors, this scholarship provides a one-time award to junior or senior students of African American or Hispanic decent enrolled full-time in the Teacher Education Program within the Division of Education at IUPUC

This $1,000 scholarship, established by friends of the late Mr. Brooke E. Tuttle, supports IUPUC students who want to pursue careers in mechanical engineering. The award is renewable for four years for recipient who is progressing through the program and meeting the minimum GPA requirement.
About the donor
Mr. Brooke E. Tuttle was an executive at Cummins Inc. and president of the Columbus Economic Development Board. He was also an adjunct professor in economics at IUPUC for more than 20 years. This scholarship was established by friends of the late Mr. Tuttle in acknowledgement of his deep belief that education is integral for individual and collective success.

About the donor

Founded in 1970, IUPUC served nearly 1,700 full-time and part-time students in 2011-12. One of the state’s best educational values, IUPUC offers online, hybrid, evening, and day classes. Dr. Jay Howard served as interim vice chancellor and dean at IUPUC from 2006-09. This award was established by IUPUC’s Board of Advisors in recognition of Dr. Howard’s contributions to the community and the university and for serving the university with excellence and distinction.

The Marvin Rytting Scholarship supports psychology majors at IUPUC who have already completed at least 75 credit hours toward their bachelor’s degree. The award amount is determined by IUPUC's Scholarship Committee.
About the donors
This scholarship was established by alumni and friends of IUPUC in honor of Dr. Marvin B. Rytting, who served with distinction as associate professor of psychology for nearly 30 years. During his tenure at IUPUC, Dr. Rytting also served as assistant dean for academic affairs.

The Kristen Schildmier Scholarship is comprised of two $1,000 awards. Preference is given to IUPUC students who have previously earned an associate’s degree from Ivy Tech.
About the donor
Columbus residents Kenneth and Phyllis DeLap established a $40,000 endowment in honor of their granddaughter, Kristen Schildmier. Kristen is an IUPUC graduate who completed her degree in 2006. The DeLaps were inspired to make their gift after learning about the financial needs of a single working mother who became close friends with their granddaughter when both were IUPUC students.

The Vujovich Scholarship in Engineering* supports IUPUC students, especially women, who want to enter the engineering field. One award is made every four years paying tuition and fees up to $4,000. If you are an enrolled IUPUC student who is progressing in an engineering degree program offered at IUPUC and meeting the minimum GPA requirements.
About the donor
This scholarship was established thanks to a $50,000 gift from Columbus residents Tom and Christine (Tina) Vujovich and a matching $50,000 gift from the Community Education Coalition, forming a $100,000 endowment for IUPUC engineering students. It is intended to help meet regional employment needs for engineering professionals in advanced manufacturing operations. It is also intended to help students throughout the region become educated in a well-paying profession.

Established by the members of the IUPUC community to honor former Vice Chancellor and Dean Dr. Marwan Wafa to further the university’s mission by supporting a deserving IUPUC student, this scholarship award will be determined by the IUPUC scholarship committee based on available funds.
About the donor
Dr. Marwan Wafa served as vice chancellor and dean at IUPUC from 2008 to 2015. Before joining Indiana University, Wafa was dean of the College of Business and Management at Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan and dean of the School of Business & Technology at the University of Wisconsin–Parkside. In addition, he was a top administrator at the University of Southern Indiana for 14 years, serving as associate dean and director of USI’s MBA program and chair of the Department of Management and Marketing, among other positions. Dr. Wafa earned a master’s degree in management and a Ph.D. in industrial management from Clemson University and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Kuwait University.

Founded in 1919, Zonta International is a global organization of executives and professionals working together to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy. With more than 30,000 members belonging to more than 1,200 clubs in 63 countries, Zontians all over the world volunteer their time, talents, and support for scholarship programs and much more. This scholarship was established by the Columbus chapter, part of the organization’s Area 4 in Indiana.
