Diplomas

All about your diploma

You’ll get a diploma cover—but not the diploma itself—at the commencement celebration ceremony. There are a few steps you need to take to ensure you get your diploma:

  • Apply online to graduate.
  • Make sure that your mailing address is up to date in your Student Center. Your diploma will be mailed to that address.
  • Close to your graduation date, ensure there are no holds on your account. A school debt can prevent you from receiving your diploma or ordering an official transcript.

All diplomas other than professional diplomas are 8 ½ x 11 inches. Professional diplomas are 16 x 20 inches.

How to get your diploma

Beginning 2021-2022 academic year, diplomas will be mailed to graduates at the student home address listed on their Student Center. It is the student's responsibility to make sure their address is correct.

Any student who has a hold on their account preventing their diploma or transcript from being released will need to pick their diploma up from the Registrar Services Office once the hold is removed.

Changing your name on your diploma

The name on your diploma will be the same as your primary name on record. However, you can submit a Degree Name in Student Center to have a variation of your legal name (for example, first or middle initial instead of your full first or middle name) on your degree.
